| To update and re-qualify delegates in the knowledge and skills required to deal with medical and trauma emergencies beyond the scope of basic first aid. |
| Suitable For |
| Any person already holding an Emergency Medical Technician qualification which is nearing its expiry. |

| 3 Days, (9am to 5pm and 6.30pm to 8.pm on day 1 for vehicle extrication exercise) |

| Previous EMT qualification or equivalent.

| Certification |
Successful delegates will be awarded:
- An EMT certificate is valid for 1 year and recognised by
the European Association of EMT's and Paramedics for membership at
EMT Defibrillation level.
- An AED certificate which is valid for 1 year.
- A Laryngeal Mask Airways certificate from the LMA makers Intavent.

- Head, Chest and Abdominal trauma heart conditions
- Vehicle extricating (outdoor session)

- Primary survey and interventions
- Oxygen administration (therapy &
I.P.P.V.)
- Advisory external defibrillation
- Crash helmet removal
- Use of spinal board (long board)
