Management of Acute Anaphylaxis

Course Aims
To train delegates in the knowledge and skills required to effectively manage a patient during an acute anaphylaxis emergency in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Resuscitation Council (UK).
Suitable For
Any health care provider working in the public or private sector who may be required to provide immediate management of a patient during an acute anaphylaxis emergency.
Course Length

1 hour

Pre-requisite
Delegates should be employed in an environment where they may need to respond to an acute anaphylaxis emergency.
Certification
All delegates will be awarded a Norvic certificate of attendance which is valid for 1 year.
Course Venue
Closed courses are held at our training venues in Norwich or alternatively, courses can be arranged at your venue anywhere in the UK, (subject to suitability).
Syllabus
  • Introduction to anaphylaxis.
  • Pathophysiological effects.
  • Administration of Epinepherine (Adrenaline)
  • Identification of common antigens.
  • Identification of common antigens.
