From first aid for children to specialist courses for NHS nurses, Norvic Training Associates offers a wide range of health and safety training from its Henderson Business Centre base.

The company, which employs two full-time trainers and has nine further externally-based trainers it can call upon, was taken over by Wendy Powles on July 1.

The company offers regular first aid courses for the public, risk assessment and health and safety training, fire marshalling, defibrillation training, phlebotomy and training on how to deal with people with epilepsy and even attempted suicides.

Ms Powles, who also runs training and counselling company Forward Development Training, said: “So far it has been absolutely great. It's really exciting and the trainers here are fantastic. My plans for the business are just to expand in some other directions, like team-building days.

“The girls on reception at Henderson couldn't be more helpful. Our rooms are very light and airy and look very professional, and we can use the boardroom when we want to impress customers. The parking is great and we have views right across Norwich.”
