In some cases, it is necessary for students to prepare for a Norvic training course by undertaking pre-course study from home. Pre-course study is carried out in two possible ways. Firstly, pre-course reading of the course notes or manual (these are sent to students with the joining instructions prior to many of the courses). Secondly, this web site has a number of quizzes, all of which are appropriate to Norvic courses. When complete, each quiz gives the score attained and the more times the quiz is taken, the better your score should be.

The exact amount of pre-course study required will depend on a variety of factors including the students history of prior learning in the subject, their practical experience and their ability to absorb new information.
